Monday, 11 February 2008
Last night on the National Geographic Channel, I watched perhaps one of the most disturbing documentaries on global warming and the effects it can have on our environment.  We do not realize that in thirty years, our planet can almost be unrecognizable because of the damage that we are doing to it now.  This documentary takes you step by step to show the damage that will be done to the environment if we do not take action now and stop global warming in its steps.

Rapid Refills for Your Ink Cartridges
Thursday, 10 January 2008
With all this talk about “going green” lately, it should be no surprise to anyone that now there are even companies out there advertising methods of refilling your empty ink cartridges that we all use for our printers.  Everyone has computers today so of course, everyone is in need of ink cartridges for them.  For anyone who has taken a recent trip to their local paper and ink supply would know that ink for computers now a days can cost and arm and a leg to replace.  Not only does replacing ink drain our pockets, but it is also adding to the already high amounts of waste being emptied into out landfills.  What can we do to stop this you ask?  Well, for starters, you can obviously try to use as little ink as possible and print only when necessary.  Now for some, especially businesses, this can be hard to do, so what is the answer?  I’ve got it! Visit a website called www.rapidrefill.com.   Visit this website to find out why so many consumers are choosing rapid refill as their number one source for all of their printing needs.

Friday, 23 November 2007
If you live within the New York City tri-state area, you will know that there is nothing like ringing in the Christmas holiday than taking a trip to Rockefeller Center to visit the tree.  Rockefeller has over 500,000 visitors each year and continues to follow the holiday tradition.  This year, Rockefeller Center has decided to do things a little different.  Instead of using the standard Christmas lights that everyone is used to, they will be using LED bulbs to light the tree.  These LED bulbs will all be solar powered by a new solar station being installed on the roof top of 45 Rockefeller Center.  These LED bulbs will help reduce the amount of energy consumption, which as we all know, if a large problem within our environment.  As for the tree itself, that will be used for lumber after the holiday season is over.

Donate Your Turkey Fat
Friday, 23 November 2007
It may sound a bit peculiar, but by donating your turkey fat, you could be helping to save the environment from global warming.  Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks so why not show out appreciation and donate our turkey fat to bio-diesel industries.  These bio-diesel industries are taking the donated turkey fat and reusing it to produce bio-diesel fuel.  By using bio-diesel fuel, we are helping to save the environment from pollution.
